Cimas has partnered with Health263 to create a platform that will improve and simplify service quality as well as strengthen member security.
“This exciting development will provide a secure and faster claims submission process which will result in shorter turnaround times. Query resolution will also be expedited, and the impact of card and benefit abuse will be curtailed,” Madziwadondo, Cimas’ Mananging Director – Medical Aid, said in a statement published on the Cimas Website.
For members to be able to make online claims they have to undergo biometrical registration.
To register for the biometrics members can approach Cimas facilities or selected service providers and any of its regional offices for assistance.
According to Madziwadondo the E-claims platform will go live in February 2018; there after members will be able to access service providers via fingerprint validation.
“We anticipate that the E-claims platform will go live in February 2018 and encourage you to enroll prior to the go live date. Members will then be able to access service providers via fingerprint validation. The obtaining claims will be channeled electronically to Cimas for processing according to fund rules,” he added.
The biometric enrolment process commenced on 15 January 2018.
