The new update, unveiled Jan. 10, includes a more modern and slick look. It also includes changes under the hood that should make load times faster. The new website is content-driven and was designed to be responsive on desktops, smartphones and tablets.
“When we initially developed this site we had one main goal to create an insurance hub, that is to bring everything insurance in one place, so that our readers would access all the information regarding insurance be it life, non-life, pensions, micro-insurance, or risk management in one place,” said Risk and Insurance founder and owner Donald Tafadzwa Chidoori.
“We managed to achieve that goal, so the next step was to create a more user friendly website that can load faster no matter which device you are using. And with the updated website we have also achieved that,” he added.
The website update reflects the commitment of RI to bringing local risk and insurance news to the online world.
“We felt that 2018 would bridge us to the future, so the new website for us is all part of all the new products we are going to bring into the site and the company,” Chidoori said.
“This is just the beginning of what we are planning for the future, we are going to combine a Risk and Insurance TV station, radio station and research centre on one platform. By having all these sections in one hub we will become the centre of insurance research in Zimbabwe, whereby members of the community, academics and professionals will be taping into our hub for up to date well researched information and articles on the insurance industry in Zimbabwe,” he added.
In the feature the site will also feature user generated news articles from social media, which will give visitors a more personal, real-time look at insurance through the eyes of insurance consumers in the country.
“Part of our hope is that we will become the centre of excellence in everything risk and insurance. Sure the site is designed to inspire the consumption of insurance products in the country, but we also want locals to bookmark it and when they want to purchase insurance or get advise on insurance products in the market our site will be the primary source of information,” he concluded.
