Harare: Fidelity Life Assurance Company said that it will adopt a new online insurance payment system in the coming few weeks.
Under the new system, payments for insurance premiums will be made using the firm’s website, where customers can receive an instant insurance quote and purchase it right away.
This will prove handy in a lot of a situations like when people are travelling outside the country and want to make premium payments or when a person cannot physically visit Fidelity Offices to make swipe payments before life policies lapse.
Whatever the reason, the new system will make it easier for customers to make premium payments timeously and at their own convinience.
Melanie Gumbo, General Manager Marketing, said the system would help Fidelity Life service the new market which is increasingly adopting e-payments.
The new system will build on the rising acceptance of electronic payments in the market.
“Currently we are open to all the payment methods that are available. We are on all three mobile wallets that’s your Ecocash, One Wallet and Telecash, you are also able to do a direct transfer or you can come at any of our offices for swiping,” Melanie said.
Currently Fidelity Life customers can go the firm’s website, fill and submit policy documents online but cannot proceed to make payments.
“With the new system we are working on customers will be be able to pay online,” said the General Manager (Marketing).
