Grace Muradzikwa has taken over the reigns of a leading professional, executives and business women’s economic empowerment forum, PROWEB.
Grace Muradzikwa is one of the founding trustees of PROWEB (Professional Women, Women Executives and Business Women’s Forum) and recently took over from the late Dr Primrose Kurasha as President.
Grace is the current Chief Executive Officer of NicozDiamond Insurance (NDI). She has had a number of accomplishments and achievements in her life. She was the first black woman to list and head a public traded company (in 2002). Under her stewardship the ISO certified insurance company has become the premier provider of short term insurance products in Zimbabwe with interests in Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique.
Grace sits on numerous boards and holds directorships in various local, regional and international companies. She is also a member of various professional affiliations and has won a plethora of achievement awards.
Commenting on the new role, Grace said that she was eager to uplift the cause of PROWEB, sustain its growth improve performance and promote women empowerment.

I am sure with your support we will retrace the footsteps of the founding members to uplift the PROWEB cause from where those who have come before us left. I am very much looking forward to working with you and learning from you and will remain committed to sustain growth, improve performance and continually strive to live up to your expectations.
Grace brings with her over 2 decades of insurance experience spanning all facets of short-term insurance and reinsurance.
She has received among other awards – 1996 Insurance Personality of the Year, 2004 Zimbabwe Manager of the Year Runner-up, 2005 Best Performing Insurance Counter Zimbabwe Quoted Companies Survey, 2005 Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year, 2009 IODZ Director of the Year, 2014 Daily News Businesswoman of the Year, Africa University Drum Award 2014 and 2016 Top 20 Most Influential Women in Africa by CEO Global.
Grace is an inspiration to many young women who have career ambitions but also want to have families. She believes that if women are qualified and prove themselves through their hard work and results they will not have difficulty in getting the respect of colleagues in the corporate world. She is very generous with her wisdom and expertise and a mentor to many young women and men.
PROWEB is committed towards giving back to the society. Its social responsibility is to empower disadvantaged and marginalised women from different communities in Zimbabwe, through their empowerment initiatives.
PROWEB (Professional Women, Women Executives and Business Women’s Forum), is a women’s economic empowerment forum established in 2005. As a non-partisan civil forum, the vision of PROWEB is to contribute towards economic empowerment of women through society, change which addresses the current social and economic challenges facing the women.The initiative was established in 2005 to enable professional, executives and business women to contribute to the national agenda through networking, dialogue and lobbying. It is also a platform for women to grow economically and socially while making a difference in society.
