The biggest short term insurer, Nicoz Diamond is on track to roll out a new IT system beginning of next year.
“For us it’s an upgrade from a system that we procured back in 2004, so it has lived its time obviously our aim is just to be more efficient,” said Gloria Zvaravanhu, General Manager – Corporate Services at Nicoz Diamond.
This new IT system is going to bring added new features portal that is going to allow business providers and customers access to the Nicoz Diamond system from their respective offices or from wherever they are.
“This system is more interactive with our suppliers who are able to just go straight into the system; it should make it easy for our customers in terms of convenience and so forth,” asserted Zvaravanhu.
A recent customer satisfaction survey that was carried out by Nicoz Diamond showed that a number of its clients were disappointed by the time it took to process claims and difficulties in making follow ups.
The new IT system is the response that Nicoz did to improve services as it is going to improve and shorten the claims process. The uses of automated messages will also make it easy and guide clients on the state and stage of their claim which will reduce time and cost of processing claims.
“You will be able to track your claim within our offices so no need to be calling us you receive automated messages on the state of your claim where exactly it is, so next time when someone tells it’s on Mai Muradzikwa’s desk you should be able to tell them that it is not true, I received a message and its actually sitting on your desk,” said Grace Muradzikwa the Chief Executive Officer of Nicoz Diamond.
The new IT system is also meant to guard Nicoz Diamond against cyber threats as the institution is strengthening its security to protect its clients.
“Definitely security has to be strengthened, as you do upgrades it can’t be the same as the version that you had before. So yes cyber security is a big concern for us we have to ensure that our security needs meet the current threats,” Zvaravanhu said.
Nicoz Diamond’s customers and suppliers are indeed looking forward to the new system and hopefully they will enjoy it when it comes on board, come January 2017.
