AIO Life Seminar in Zimbabwe begins tomorrow

Hundreds of Life Assurance practitioners from across the continent and beyond will descent in Harare for the African Insurance Organisation (AIO)’s Life Insurance Seminar from tomorrow to Friday the 4th of November 2016 at Cresta Lodge.

The AIO Life Seminar is hosted by the Life Offices Association of Zimbabwe (LOA) The theme for the conference is “The Power of agility; Driving growth and sustainability in the insurance market”.

Quoted on the AIO website, Chairperson of the AIO Life Committee, Mrs Yetunde IIori of Nigeria said that, “this [theme] covers vital and relevant topics within the industry in Africa, Risk, Technology, Customer Service, Micro Insurance, Actuarial, Claims and Fraud.”

“With such an important theme coupled with so many exciting and dynamic speakers coming to Harare, I know members of the industry will kick themselves if they miss this particular seminar,” she said.

Over 350 AIO members from 47 African countries are expected to descend on Harare for this monumental occasion for the country and the local insurance industry.

Inter-African Cooperation was founded in Mauritius in 1972 to develop a healthy insurance and reinsurance industry while promoting inter-African cooperation, the AIO is a non-governmental organisation recognised by many African governments.

Zimbabwe’s leading life insurance and reinsurance companies, including Old Mutual Life, First Mutual Life, Fidelity Life, ZB Life, Zimnat Life, CBZ Life and Nyaradzo Life. Baobab Reinsurance and FMRE Life and Health are also members of the LOA.

“AIO seminars offer delegates unequalled opportunities for regional and international insurance networking. As such, it will be the insurance event of the year for life insurers,” said LOA.
